Shock, anger and disbelief as men believed to be Nigerian soldiers invade the #ENDSARS protest in Lekki, Lagos, killings several at close range and a greater number left with various degrees of injuries.
In what looked like a well coordinated plan, earlier on Tuesday, Lagos State governor, Jide
Sanwo-Olu had alleged that criminals had hijacked the protest movement “to unleash mayhem” and announced a curfew in the city.
Same Tuesday, a technician was seen removing the security cameras located near the Lekki tollgate, towards nightfall all lights within or close to the same venue were turned off, moments latter the bullets started raining.
The Nigerian Army has come out to deny any involvement. However, Mr. Femi Fani Kayode – a former Minister in the Obasanjo administration, has named Brigadier General F.O. Omata as the leader of the team that carried out the massacre.
Some people on Twitter have accused former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of coordinating with the Nigeria Federal Government and the Nigerian army to shoot at the peaceful protesters.
In the tweets the claimed that he is currently in France, they called on French president Emmanuel Macron to arrest him and turn him over to the ICC, however, as the time of this report, he has no case at the ICC.
