Everton set to pay £10m for Nigerian teenage sensation Ademola Lookman

Everton expect to complete a £10m deal for Charlton's 19-year-old forward Ademola Lookman early in the January transfer window.

Everton boss Ronald Koeman has confirmed he is interested in signing Ademola Lookman during the transfer window but refused to go into detail.

When asked about Charlton's teenage striker, the Toffees boss replied: "Yes. There is interest in the boy."

However, that was all he said regarding the young Englishman, who has netted seven times for the League One club this season.

With regards to potential transfers next month, he added: "It is a busy time because we have a lot of games in a short time and, of course, I'm involved in new players, in making the team stronger.

"We are working on that. We have certain interest in some players.

"Some names we are linked with are true, and some names are not true. That is all speculation.

"Of course we are working. We have certain interest in players but we will keep that to ourselves."

Nineteen year old Ademola Lookman Olajide was born to Nigerian parents in Peckam, London, his childhood club is Manchester United which he describe as the biggest club in the world.

He received his first international call up on 16 May 2016 being named in the England U19 squad for a double header against Mexico. He was subsequently named in the England squad for the European U19 Championships the same summer.
